BRIAN TRUAX MEMORIAL MUSKIE TOURNAMENT
Our chapter has been hosting an annual muskie tournament for over 20 years in the Bemidji and Cass Lake areas.
Our dear friend and past Chapter 46 member Brian Truax passed away in late December 2022. As a tribute to him and his legacy, we have renamed our tourney in his honor. To say he was passionate about muskie fishing was an understatement. He was a great human being and will greatly be missed by all.
Lakes you can fish include Lake Bemidji and connected waters, Cass Lake Chain, Little Wolf Lake, Big Lake, Lake Plantagenet and Mantrap Lake. This is strictly a catch, photo and release tournament.
Prizes are awarded for 1st through 4th Place based on total inches of Muskies caught and released. We also have an award for the Largest Released Muskie and a Youth award for the Largest Released Muskie.
Youth anglers are all entered into a drawing for a Youth Lifetime Fishing License!
